The rain and gloomy weekend made it a perfect time for crafting. I’ve been thinking of making an inspiration board to go above my desk for the past couple weeks, so I decided to treat myself to a little “me” time since I wrapped up midterms last week. I needed a pop of color on that wall and thought it would be a great space for some positive vibes.
Here’s what you need:
A frame (any size you want) with the glass taken out
A roll of cork board big enough to fit your frame
- Wrapping or fine paper (I used a thicker wrapping paper from Paper Source)
- Hot glue gun (I have some tacky tape in the photos but it didn’t work on well so switched to a hot glue gun.)
- Push pins
- Whatever you want to use for inspiration!
- Optional: feline assistant like Bails
So how do you make it? Using the back of the frame, trace the size onto the cork board and cut accordingly. Then, glue the cork board to the back of the frame so that it would be where the photo would appear in the frame. Make sure to use enough glue on the edges so that when you put the tacks on it’ll stay put. Glue the paper onto the cork board using the same process. Pop the back of the frame back in and there you go! Add what inspires you using tacks. I picked up these cute ones from Paper Source but you can use whatever.
