I headed back to Michigan last weekend for my friend Kayla’s engagement party on Saturday. The party was in metro Detroit so I crashed at my parents’ house Friday night. I don’t make it home very often, which meant I had to see my gal Bri, too. She came over Friday night for dinner and drinks with my family, then we headed to Eastern Market in downtown Detroit Saturday morning.
If you haven’t been to Eastern Market, you have to check it out. It seriously has everything you could need at a farmers market. Unfortunately I couldn’t get much since I was traveling back on the train Sunday. I’ll use that as my excuse of why I bought beignets and a smoothie over veggies. I know, I know.. Labor Day weekend is right around the corner so I should be eating healthy. I get it. *ugh* Bri’s heading to Chicago (yay!) for what we call LDW 2.0. She came here last summer for LDW, which was soon after I moved in, so this year is just as hyped up. It’s my last weekend of summer before school starts back up… Let’s hope we have good weather! 🙂
While heading from our car to the market, Bri and I stumbled upon a bunch of graffiti walls. It was almost as if we were back at Wynwood Walls, remember this post?
