I made my first trip to Denver last weekend, and let me tell ya, it was GORGEOUS. Seriously, everything was so pretty. My mom and her best friend were originally planning a trip to visit her friend’s daughter, Mary, and naturally I kind of invited myself on the trip. Mary’s sister Claire came along and it was such a great girls weekend.
I’m really bad at looking at the weather. Honestly, I don’t think I looked at all before heading to Colorado. My suitcase pretty much had all winter-ish clothes in it, which meant I wasn’t prepared for the 80 degree heat when I arrived. I looked at my weather app when I was in the airport already wearing a chunky sweater (I’ll put it on the blog soon because I ended up wearing it a different day!). We walked from the train station to Mary’s apartment after our flight and we were all sweating, at least I wasn’t the only one. This yellow sweater was my “lightest” option, so I made it work.
I took a study break before my trip to walk over to Old Navy. (Perks of going to grad school in downtown Chicago, right?) And oh my goodness, I was SO impressed. I guess I haven’t shopped there in a bit but I can’t stop raving about it. There were so many cute fall clothes and great sales. An all around win. i went after working out so I wasn’t about to try on clothes when I was sweaty, but thankfully everything fit perfectly. (I’m wearing a medium top here.) I honestly don’t wear this color often (my bff Bri does though, it’s her color) so I decided to go with a Bri-inspired look. Of course I wore this the day we went to GOLDEN, Colorado. I wish I could say I was clever enough to coordinate this, but it was completely accidental. Hey, at least I matched the sign.
