Okay, I’m writing this after a total of two Red Bulls and two coffees today so bear with me. (It’s probably one of those days that you’re happy I don’t share videos and am confined to writing. Ha!) I’m currently sitting in my favorite spot in the city looking onto Chicago’s skyline. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll likely see pictures of this view on my story repeatedly. Sorry not sorry. Ever since I moved here, it’s been somewhat of my safe haven — a place where I go to blast my music and collect my thoughts. AND I found out today that there’s in fact free wifi. YAASS!
There’s something about floppy hats that puts me in a good mood. They’re so fun! Unfortunately my head is SUPER tiny so finding hats that fit isn’t the easiest task. I refer to it as a peanut head but now that I type it I’m not sure if that even makes sense. Whoops. I styled this one with a layered outfit, which was perfect for this weather as we transition into spring. My parents were in town this past weekend for Easter, and I packed the weekend full of activities. I like to switch things up every time they visit, though shopping always seems to be a priority, so this time we went to Second City, a Cubs game and some great restaurants. I’m pretty sure my parents were the oldest people at Happy Camper in Old Town on Saturday night, which probably made them feel super cool. Yes, how “cool” they are is an ongoing argument in my family and you’ll get a different response depending who you ask. Cool or uncool, they’re the best and it was great to spend time with them.
