Happy Thursday, everyone! I’m excited to share today’s post with y’all. This outfit was actually something I wore a couple weekends ago when my parents were in town and the weather was super warm, making it a perfect day to walk on the river and grab drinks at a patio. It’s not quite as nice in Chicago today, but I know this dress will be great for all the warm days coming up. I love how easy it is to throw on and style. I decided to dress it up a tad by adding these heeled sandals, but the options are endless. (Honestly, these shoes probably weren’t the best decision for walking around the city for hours but I’ve learned to live with my often unpractical shoe choice.) Since the dress is so light and flowy, I liked pairing it with a bit of a thicker, bold sandal. I went with these black sandals so matched my bag accordingly so it didn’t look like too much, but I think a cognac shoe would look great as well! I’ll likely pair it with multiple options coming up, including a more casual look with my Birkenstocks.
For hot days, this hairstyle is pretty much my go-to. I have naturally curly hair so humidity and heat aren’t always conducive for straight hair. I like to use a sea salt spray for a wavy look and embrace my natural hair, and adding the top knot just helps get my hair out of my face.
