Winter is here, Chicago! I finally debuted my new Canada Goose parka. It’s been hanging in my closet since August (who else buys winter coats in the summer? ha!), and it was time to break the baby out. This Saturday was a cold one so I styled it with a simple black beanie and black boots. I did have a cozy sweater under it but didn’t grab any photos of it. Another time!
Picking the coat
Let’s talk a little about the coat… I’ve been researching Canada Goose coats since last winter, which meant I knew exactly what I wanted. Well, I thought so at least. When Nordstrom put all the coats up this summer, I decided I needed to still try on every single option. I’m not kidding. I knew this coat was going to be an investment and I needed to be absolutely certain with my decision. I picked the Rossclair because I loved how it can be cinched at the waist, which I felt was more flattering for my body shape. I can’t even begin to describe how much I love this coat. My friends and I went to brunch and decided to walk to the Christkindlmarket in the Loop. The market was about 20 minutes from our restaurant, and my friends were so cold the entire walk. I WAS WARM. I’m not kidding; I wasn’t cold at all. I even gave my gloves and scarf to my friend because I knew she needed them more than I did.
The pockets are also great, as you can tell from my hands in them for most of the pics. They are so soft!
