TGIF. First off, I’m so sorry I’ve been silent lately and it’s taken me so long to get this post up. Man, life. I just wrapped up finals (I’m a MBA student, aka all my school references) and I’ve been living at the library pretty much. However, SCHOOL IS OUT FOR SUMMER. Woo! I cannot wait to have my weekends back for a bit. It’s been a pretty interesting transition from being an undergrad student to working full time to back to being a student. The bulk of my program is done though, and I’ll be graduating in March. This first year really flew by.
Anyway, this look was actually from Memorial Day weekend. I know, I told you it took awhile to get it up… I’m originally from Michigan, and I was pretty excited to head back for the long weekend. I hadn’t been there since Christmas! It’s always takes a little pre-planning to make sure I can share my time there with all my friends and family. (PS, if I didn’t have the chance to see you, it wasn’t intentional.. probably just ran out of time!) It was jam packed, including a trip to Lansing (where I used to live/work), Grand Rapids and my parents’ house in Farmington Hills.
Bri snapped these photos in front of a graffiti wall in REO Town in Lansing after we grabbed NOLAs at Strange Matter, one of my favorite coffee shops when I lived there! I stopped by my old office in Old Town to chat with my work family and eat some of Veronica’s birthday cake.
It was a little chilly during the day, so I paired styled this sleeveless Madwell top with high-waisted jeans. I added the leopard shoes for a pop of fun and grabbed this cognac Coach bag that’s years old but still classic. I really like this top with white, too, so I’ll style it with white jeans and maybe shorts.
That’s all for now. I’m off of the beach for a few hours. Have a great weekend, everyone! Anybody else planning to go to the beach every day or is that just me? 😉
