Yay! It’s Friday. And it’s an extra special Friday personally because I finished my MBA program yesterday and I have friends coming to town for the weekend for St. Patrick’s Day shenanigans. ALL THE FUN THINGS. I’ve never seen the green river, so we’re going to head there tomorrow to check it out after breakfast at my place. I get so excited when I can host friends at my place, even if it’s just for breakfast. I live in a studio in Gold Coast, so it’s definitely not as spacious to host guests as I’d like but I try my best to make it work. I still laugh about the time my brother came to visit and he didn’t understand why my bed was just in the middle of the apartment. Apparently he didn’t get the whole studio concept – ha!
Today’s post is an outfit that I feel like I’ve been wearing a lot. I got this jacket in December, but honestly didn’t wear it too much then because it was so cold and I’d prefer something warmer when it’s snowing obviously. For these random, warmer midwest days it’s been great though!
After I finished the Whole30 i treated myself to some new jeans. And by new jeans, I mean four pairs. I know that sounds obnoxious but I was loving them all and Express often has great deals on denim. I probably got four pairs for the price of one pair of another brand, so that was my rationale. I usually hate buying jeans. I often leave in a bad mood because nothing fits the way I want. I’m guessing I’m not the only one. However, this day was miraculous and all pairs fit. You can only imagine my dressing room happiness. I was pumped. If you haven’t been to Express in a while, check out their new denim. Trust me!
Since these jeans are higher waisted and more boyfriend style, I styled a tucked in, tighter black top with them. Then just throw on the jacket and you’re good! I love wearing booties with boyfriend jeans since they’re a little baggier and the booties make feel a little more feminine.
I’m off to finish cleaning my apartment and go grocery shopping. Enjoy your St. Paddy’s day and stay safe. Talk soon, loves. xx
