With this spring transition, I’m guessing I’m not the only one (in the Midwest at least!) who sometimes struggles with what to wear. One day it’s warm then the next you’re questioning if you’re back in winter. Growing up in Michigan, I’ve come to embrace the uncertainty because, well, there’s not much we can do about it besides styling a fun outfit. 😉
One way I dress accordingly is by styling layers. Fall always seems to be more of a “layers” season, but I think spring is a great time to wear light layers as well. This gray sweater is super comfy and isn’t heavy at all, and pairs well with a simple long sleeve shirt. I usually don’t wear much fur beyond winter but since this sweater is a light color I figured I’d give it a go.
I kept it casual for class this day and styled this sweater with a pair of somewhat loose jeans but cuffed the bottoms. To be honest, I cuff my jeans A LOT. (Unless they have a raw hem, which is totally in right now.. Go get yourself a pair! ) Whether I’m wearing a pair of booties or just don’t necessarily like how the jeans hit on my ankles, I go for a cuff as a simple solution. And I personally just like how they look.
Lastly.. MULES. Backless mules are all the craze right now – a perfect spring shoe. I like that you can dress them up or throw them on with jeans. I have another pair that I can’t wait to style on the blog sometime soon! I’d recommend not to wear them if you’re going to be walking a ton though, unless you have somebody willing to give you a piggy back ride.
Talk soon! xx
