Hi, y’all! Happy Tuesday. 🙂
I’m feeling a little bittersweet to post my last photos from Miami. However, with this *somewhat* warmer weather we’ve been having, hopefully it’ll be a little reminder that summer is around the corner. I can’t wait. I went on a walk along the lake this past weekend and was staring at the beach. Since I live so close to a couple beaches, I knew it was time to finally invest in a beach bag I loved and figured my trip to Miami was the perfect occasion. I’ve been using a free tote I got from Victoria’s Secret from WAY too long ago that I honestly didn’t like that much, so I was on a mission to upgrade. I found this Mar Y Sol bag that I just adored and knew it was the one. The navy paired with the pops of colors in the tassels seemed to be a perfect fit for a beach day. To be totally candid, it was a bit bigger than I anticipated and wasn’t easy to pack. I ended up carrying it on the plane and throwing my normal Louis Vuitton tote that I travel with inside of it, which worked out fine. I’m glad I ended up still bringing it, as I used it every day in Miami including our day trip to South Beach.
I thought it would be good to share a couple of my beach essentials. Sunglasses and dry tanning oil (with SPF!) are always with me on the beach. If you don’t have a S’well water bottle, I highly suggest getting one. I have one that I always have in my backpack for school. You’d probably laugh if you saw all the S’well bottles in our classrooms. My friends and I are a tad obsessed. Anyway, I ended up getting a new bottle that is the biggest size, which is definitely big. I’m pretty sure it can hold an entire bottle of wine. It’s a tad too big to throw in my backpack for school but it’s the perfect size for the beach. I filled this baby up with infused water every day for the beach and IT STAYED COLD FOR HOURS. I’m not kidding you, the outside felt so warm but then when I drank it.. SO COLD. I was amused, and Bri probably wanted me to stop talking about about how cold my water was but oh well. Lastly, this Dr. Jart+ BB cream works wonders. I picked it up at Sephora as a face sunscreen with a little tint and couldn’t believe how light and dry it felt. I’m really picky about what types of lotions I use on my face because I honestly hate the feeling but this one worked so well. I can’t wait to keep using it!
