It was an exciting weekend in Chicago! My family was in town for my MBA graduation, which meant it was a jam-packed weekend. My parents helped me put up removable wallpaper in my apartment on Friday. It actually was way easier than we thought it’d be — probably took about an hour. I shared some pics on my Instagram! We had happy hour on my rooftop, went to a delicious Italian dinner and then hit up the roof at London House. You can’t beat Chicago rooftops in the summer. We started off Saturday with lunch at Public House. Obviously I was eyeing up the cake shakes that are all over Instagram, but I decided it wasn’t the day to try it out. My friends and I coordinated a family bar crawl since several of us had our folks in town for graduation, and that was super fun!
I’ve been wanting to wear this jumpsuit for awhile now. When I saw the rainy forecast, I was quite disappointed. Thankfully most of the rain was in the morning and I was able to wear by the time we went out for lunch. I wore the Vionic shoes I talked about in this post because I knew we’d be doing some walking downtown. I still can’t get over how comfortable they are!
All of Sunday was spent at graduation, which was pretty boring TBH. And hot. Man, those gowns are heavy. I guess graduating is more fun than the actual graduation ceremony – ha! I knew I had to go to it for my parents though.
Now I have a couple weeks before I start my new job, which means I’ll be at the beach as many days as possible. Cross your fingers for good weather! xx
