This winter to spring transition is pretty tricky, huh? As somebody who doesn’t typically check the weather often, I’ve actually been checking the weather app every dang day. The sun is so deceiving, but I can’t say I don’t love it. It’s just resulting in a bit more thought into my outfits to stay warm and practical.
My mom was in town visiting this past weekend. I hadn’t seen her since Christmas so figured it was great timing for her to come since I just wrapped up school. She arrived Friday morning (and naturally I still wasn’t ready), which meant I tried to get ready as fast as possible. I’ve been using my big curling iron lately to cut back on time, and honestly I just really like the look of the big curls. We decided to walk to River North to get salads for lunch at True Food Kitchen (their grilled chicken salad is amazing!) and snapped some photos in Gold Coast on the way.
When it comes to winter to spring transition, I’ve been trying to wear all my lighter winter coats or leather jacket. I really don’t think any of my spring jackets are thick enough for the recent temps. If I know I’ll be walking pretty far I’ll accommodate for that as well, since I’ll get a little warmer.
And yes, there’s a bit of lilac in my hair right now. 😉 It’s pretty subtle but I really love it — it’s fun! My mom definitely made fun of me for it all weekend though. Guess she’s not a fan. Ha!
Have a great Monday, everyone! xx
